Are you an introvert or extravert?

Are you A or B? Post it below!

A.) Feels energized by being around others. You love having the emotion and passion of other people in the room. You like to work in groups, and if had to run errands, you would want someone to accompany you.

- or -

B.) Likes being around others, but feels energized when alone. You are very sensitive to the energy and emotions of those around you, so you can end up feeling drained by social situations. You like to think and work on your own and can get distracted from a project easily if others are around.

Do you feel that these traits benefit or hinder you in social situations?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm sure you guessed it, A is an extravert and B is an introvert. This is completely different than being shy vs. outgoing! This has to do with where you feel re-energized.
Knowing whether you're an introvert or extravert is important because there are times in life when we have to make ourselves a little uncomfortable in a social situation to make sure others around you ARE comfortable.

Roasted Cauliflower Mash

This twist on mashed potatoes is made with a non-starchy veggie, no cream and butter—and yet, it’s every bit as yummy as your traditional mashed potatoes.

Total Time: 50 min.
Prep Time: 5 min.
Cooking Time: 45 min.
Yield: 8 servings, ¼ cup each

1 (2-lb.) cauliflower, cut into small florets, discard stem

Quinoa Cheesy Garlic Bread

Quinoa Crust for Pizza or Cheesy Garlic ‘Bread’

I cannot wait to try this!

Ingredients:
½ cup quinoa
3 tsp. olive oil, divided
1 cup water
2 large eggs
1 ½ tsp. garlic salt
½ tsp. dried oregano leaves
½ tsp. dried basil leaves
½ tsp baking powder
¼ cup shredded Italian-blend cheese (pizza-blend or mozzarella would be good too)

Optional - For cheesy garlic bread: ½ cup shredded Italian-blend cheese and pizza sauce for dipping

Optional - For pizza: ⅓ cup pizza sauce, ½ cup shredded Italian-blend cheese, and your favorite pizza toppings
.
Place the uncooked quinoa into a fine mesh strainer and run under cool water for about a minute until water runs clear. Shake off as much excess liquid as possible. Add the rinsed quinoa and 2 tsp. olive oil to a medium sauce pot. Turn the heat to medium high and stir occasionally for 6-7 minutes. The excess moisture will evaporate and the quinoa will begin to toast.
.
Carefully add the water to the toasted quinoa and cover. Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer. Let the quinoa cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove the lid and turn the heat to low. Cook 5 more minutes, stirring occasionally (evaporating excess moisture). Transfer the cooked quinoa to a large bowl and let it cool for at least 10 minutes.
.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spray with cooking spray.
.
In a small bowl, add the eggs, 1 tsp. olive oil, garlic salt, oregano, basil, and baking powder. Whisk until well combined.
.
Add the cheese to the quinoa. Stir to combine. Add the egg mixture to the quinoa. Stir until well combined.
.
Spread the quinoa dough into a ¼ inch, even layer on the parchment paper. I made cheesy bread sticks so I made a 10 x 7 inch rectangle. Bake for 18-
20 minutes, edges should begin to brown.
.
Top with the pizza, or garlic bread, toppings and return to the oven for 5 minutes.
.
Let the pizza, or garlic bread, cool for 5 minutes before slicing.

You can fail at something you hate, so you might as well do something you LOVE

Take a Chance and do what you LOVE

www.amyamidei.com

“Fear is going to be a player in life, but you get to decide how much. You can spend your whole life imagining ghosts, worrying about the pathway to the future, but all it will ever be is what’s happening here, and the decisions that we make in this moment, which are based in either love or fear.
So many of us choose our path out of fear disguised as practicality. What we really want seems impossibly out of reach and ridiculous to expect, so we never dare to ask the Universe for it.

I can tell you from experience, the effect you have on others is the most valuable currency there is. My father could have been a great comedian, but he didn't believe that that was possible for him, and so he made a conservative choice.

Instead he got a safe job as an accountant, and when I was 12 years old, he was let go from that safe job, and our family had to do whatever we could to survive.

I learned many great lessons from my father, not the least of which, was that you can fail at what you don't want, so you might as well take a chance on doing what you love.

That peace that we are after lies somewhere beyond personality. Your need for acceptance can make you invisible in this world. Don't let anything stand in the way of the light that shines through this form. Risk being seen in all of your glory.

You are ready and able to do beautiful things in this world, and as you walk through those doors today, you will only have two choices: love or fear. Choose love, and don’t ever let fear turn you against your playful heart."

Eat. Drink. Be Amazing this Holiday Season. Accountability with Flexibility

We have 41 days until New Year’s Eve, about 6 weeks.

Those weeks will be full of candies, baked goods, decadent meals, and festive cocktails — all of the time!

The math shows us that even just one, seemingly innocent, extra little treat a day (like piece of cake, pumpkin bread, an extra martini at meal time easily adds about 300 calories) for the rest of the year will guarantee a 4.7 pound addition to your body. Bah Humbug!  That means tighter pants, larger muffin top and jigglier arms. Not the best look for your New Year’s Eve plans.

Now for the good stuff. On the flip side, instead of eating it, you decide to burn it off, you can chisel off those same 4.7 pounds and ring in the New Year lighter, brighter, happier, healthier and more confident. Pretty good deal, right?

So how am I going to do that you ask? Well I am going to host a 30 day clean eating and Fitness accountability group.  It is closed so no one can see what is posted but the group.

Each day you will get a post from me.  It will be a tip, motivation, recipe, or meal plan.  Each day you are required to just check in and rate your day.  My goal is to help you make healthy eating a lifestyle vs a crash diet.  We will learn how to have balance over the holidays, handle eating out, parties, social events, cravings and more!  I have accumulated a lot of tricks, and I will share them all with you!

Lastly, exercise is highly encouraged,  You have the choice to do a Beachbody Workout, or you can continue with whatever fitness program you are currently doing!  It's totally your call.

Think about this you could lose (the above) by New Year! Crazy pants, right!

Next complete the application below and I will be in contact with you to answer your questions and get you started!

This group begins now with what I call pre season.
It takes 21 days to create a new habit and the cool part is that you have a handful of new found friends that are on exactly the same path that you are! Challenge groups are a magical thing!  I look forward to seeing you in the group!

The deal is...
I'm in love with helping people. As a person.

IT is what makes me tick! It is what makes me excited to jump out of bed in the morning - truly.

It is beyond exciting to be so blessed that we are able to DESIGN our OWN life! It doesn't get more FREE than that!

I wish you the best in this journey, but most importantly... you MUST believe in yourself.

You must!

Love XXOO,

Amy

Courage....Get Some

I was just thinking about what it takes to reach your highest potential...

Vision, Passion and quite possibly the most important...Courage

Courage: When you are afraid...hands shaking... butterflies swarming your tummy...and you forge ahead and follow your dreams anyway.

Sometimes making a BOLD move is the only way to force yourself to grow into the person you were meant to be. I look back on some of my boldest moves...quitting my eleven year career as a Fraud Specialist ...walking away from my brand new first house....because my mother only had a couple years to live. At the time, it was the scariest financial decision I've ever made, but they also turned out to be the most rewarding in other ways.

I got to spend quality and quantity time with my mother before her death. Met a bunch of girls who are amazing, and embody all the qualities I most cherish. I was had my first experience being a Team Beachbody Coach. I'm looking forward to developing my Beachbody business again, and changing a lot of lives for the better including my own!

Fear is a poison that will try it's hardest to immobilize you and paralyze your actions. Every Time you give in to your fear, you lose strength and belief in yourself. The same goes with depression!

Draw a line in the sand and decide that no matter how difficult the path ahead may seem...you will push past your anxiety & keep moving forward.

I've been afraid of rejection, afraid of not being perfect & afraid, and that I would stumble and fail. What I am most proud of is being fearful and taking action regardless. Many times, I have surprised myself by rising to the occasion and prevailing. But there have also been moments of humbling failure. Like having to accept a job that would only pay 50% of my bills because I just needed a job ASAP.  While I may not have understood it at the time, those are the experiences that taught me the MOST valuable lessons.

So I'm asking you to trust me and I challenge you to step out of the norm. Take a chance and vote on YOU. There will be obstacles, others might not understand what you are doing, you'll stumble, you'll fall, some people might think you're crazy (and others will be crazy enough to tell you so).

At times you might feel like everyone closest to you doesn't understand your dream. That is ok...be seriously ok with that.

But consider the alternative... if you give up on your dreams.... will you be content living with you're life the way it is now...or is there a tiny voice that is getting louder saying...LISTEN UP & GO AFTER THAT GOAL!

What if instead of failure...you achieve success beyond your wildest dream? What if pursuing your dream gives others the courage to bet on themselves? WHAT IF finding your joy and following it means a life of fulfillment?

Instead of fear being a roadblock, look it right in the eye and steal it's power. Decide that you're ready to GO FOR IT no matter that. The TRUE measure of courage is not whether or not you reach your goal...it's how many times you get back on your feet. It's standing up and pursuing your dreams.

You're never going to feel READY...and you might always feel that fear...but weigh the FEAR against the incredible POSSIBILITIES...and I know you'll be ready to dive in headfirst  <<-- speaking from personal experience on this one

Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it.
